Roots Hoot House Concerts welcomes latest signee to the New West Records label stable Caroline Rose to the house on Friday, February 9. Caroline last wowed us in 2014. A lot had changed since then. A monstrous talent, her New West debut called LONER due out on February 23 is a testament to a wild ride by Rose since then and perhaps unlike anything weve ever presented here. We guarantee you will be wowed, again. An obsession with money, an unfaithful lover, an accidental pregnancy, misogyny, loneliness, death This is just some of the lighthearted subject matter that make up LONERthe darkly comedic second album from songwriter/producer Rose, out February 23rd via New West. Armed with an arsenal of new instruments and equipment, an ever-growing sense of ahhh f**k it, two years of exploration, and a wicked sense of humor, Rose delivers a set of serious songs wrapped in a sprightly, angst-fueled pop burrito. LONER isan album filled with catchy synth hooks, Ray Manzarek-esque Farfisa, surf guitar, depth of thought and a punk attitude. Says Rose, I wanted to make sure everything was as me as it could possibly be. What we at Roots Hoot know is once this album hits the streets, Caroline will be all the buzz and just think, you can say you just saw her in a living room!
