2018 Fall Adult Raptor Camp - Saturday, September 15, 2018

In past years Raptor Camp has been limited to 15 participants. This year we are limiting the camp to 10 participants to allow for a more intimate setting.

Adult Raptor Camp Participants will be introduced to 4 different families of raptors (hawks, falcons, owls and eagles) through hands-on encounters.

The program will include raptor identification, natural history, predation, mortality, populations, intelligence, instincts, habitat, rehabilitation, falconry, raptor equipment, handling, and the "experience of a lifetime".

By the end of the day, participants will have held a hawk, falcon, owl and Bald Eagle on their fist!

For this activity, participants must at least 18 years of age and be able to use both arms and both hands without physical limitations.

Participants should weather appropriate clothing. Time will be spent both indoors and out. It is highly advised to not wear sleeveless shirts or sandals.

No cameras or video cameras are allowed. A photographer will be taking pictures and the pictures will be made available to you online and free of charge.

Materials, refreshments, and lunch will be provided by the IRC.
