OldJack return to the their favorite room to start up the Boston Music Award winning "OldJack's Last Saturdays" residency. Along for the wild ride tonight are the 8 piece powerhouse of Eddie Japan and the guitar storm of Dark Wheels.

"If you are going to get up on stage with an eight-piece band, you might as well look good and more to the point, feel good doing it." That was Eddie Japans motto as they marched across five-years as one of the Northeasts most acclaimed bands (accolades include a Boston Music Award, a crown in the prestigious Boston Rock & Roll Rumble (whose previous winners include Til Tuesday and the Dresden Dolls), their 2015 single Albert appearing in Rock Band 4, a tour with Martha Davis and the Motels, and stages shared with The Fixx, Midge Ure, Will Dailey, Ruby Rose Fox, Kingsley Flood, Air Traffic Controller, Mean Creek, Jenee Halstead plus many more) towards their highly anticipated debut full-length album, "Golden Age," recorded in Boston with Benny Grotto (Mad Oak Studios) and Sean McLaughlin (37' Productions) and co-produced by the The Cars keyboardist Greg Hawkes.
DARK WHEELS
After the breakup of seminal Boston-based art-pop band Tribe in the mid-90s, guitarist Eric Brosius and bassist Greg LoPiccolo took a long hiatus from band life to devote themselves to videogame development working on titles such as Guitar Hero, Rock Band, and Bioshock.
Twenty years later, new music began to rise to the surface. Long-time friendships brought together guitarist Bart LoPiccolo (Scatterfield, Eddie Japan), and drummer Paul Gallo (OldJack, Derangers) and new songs took shape - songs built from the tension and interplay of Barts and Erics 70s-inflected guitars combined with Pauls complementary feel. Equal parts craft and aggression, the Dark Wheels sound is rooted in the traditions of the 70s and 80s, but occupies a stylistic and emotional space that is all their own. An extended search for a singer finally payed off with the addition of Dave Plante, who brings range and power that holds its own amidst the Dark Wheels guitar storm.
