Bach: Fantasias and English Suites (part 1)

Harpsichordist Carsten Schmidt will perform a solo recital of works by J.S. Bach. Program includes Fantasia and Fugue in a,English Suite in A, Fantasia in g, English Suite in g, Fantasia and Fuge in a, and English Suite in d. Schmidt performs on a German harpsichord modeled on an instrument currently in the Bach-Haus. This event is part of the Staunton Music Festival's Bach Project, a multi-year series of concerts in which Schmidt will perform all of Bach's keyboard works. (THIS CONCERT WAS ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 3, 2013.)
