Songs to Change the World
Join Cantor Jason Kaufman, Singer-Songwriter LEA, and Pianist Eric Schnobrick, for the benefit concert "Songs to Change the World" at Beth El Hebrew Congregation (3830 Seminary Road, Alexandria VA 22304). The concert will focus on music of diverse genres, with the theme of Tikkun Olam (repair of the world) and social justice. Wine and cheese will begin our evening at 7 pm with the concert starting at 7:30. Concert will have a dessert intermission.
Net proceeds will go to help benefit friends of Beth El in the refugee community and HIAS, an organization with a long history of supporting and advocating for refugees of all backgrounds.
The global is facing the largest refugee crisis it has ever experienced. It is estimated that there are 21.3 million refugees in the world today, in addition to 37.5 million internally displaced people around the globe. The numbers are daunting. We know that as a community of faith and purpose, that we are commanded and compelled to engage in this work and offer our assistance.
Tickets are $36 with additional levels of support available and appreciated.
