Live Webcast Q&A with Chris Colfer after the film

*Official Selection - 2012 Tribeca Film Festival

High school senior Carson Phillips (Chris Colfer) was destined for bigger things than his close-minded small town could ever offer. He was on a path to greatness, but destiny had a different plan when he was suddenly killed by a bolt of lightning in his school parking lot.

Demonstrating that life is what happens while you're busy planning your future, Carson recounts the last few weeks of his life via witty, insightful flashbacks, including a blackmail scheme targeting the popular kids in school that he concocts with his best friend (Rebel Wilson, BRIDESMAIDS), and a home life that includes a mother (Allison Janney, JUNO, "The West Wing") who's more interested in the bottle than her son's future and an estranged father (Dermot Mulroney, MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING) who suddenly appears with a pregnant fiancée (Christina Hendricks, "Mad Men").

The Rosendale Theatre will co-host the theatrical premiere of the new comedy STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, starring and written by Golden Globe-winner Chris Colfer of the hit TV-show Glee, at the same time that the film has its red-carpet launch in Los Angeles. The best part - Chris Colfer himself will join participating Emerging Cinemas (including the Rosendale Theatre) remotely from LA for a live and interactive webcast Q&A at the conclusion of the film. The moderator who will be on-screen with Chris Colfer will be Ben Lyons: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Lyons

"Chris Colfer outdoes Tina Fey with his script... Surpassed my expectations it is, like Mean Girls, a film about the troubles of fitting in high school that is filled with plenty of camp and the absurd."  Indiewire

"Plays like an extended episode of that hit show [Glee] minus the musical interludes."  Hollywood Reporter
"Offers up plenty of smart and quirky moments...driven by terrific performances by Alison Janney, Christina Hendricks and Dermot Mulroney."  Screen Daily

"Colfer infuses this reinvention of the high school comic-drama with such spirit and joy that he almost makes us fondly nostalgic."  Geoff Gilmore, Director-Tribeca Film Festival."
