Clarion Brass - This Is What Christmas Sounds Like
Clarion, the brightest brass in the region, reminds us that this is what Christmas sounds like: it's as fresh and clean as new-fallen snow. Every year, artistic director William Berry hangs shiny new handmade ornaments on the tree in the form of beautifully rendered traditional carols and quirky original takes on holiday favorites.
This year's concerts will highlight a spectacularly joyous new arrangement of Joy To The World, and feature the best brass soloists around: Kristin Joham, French horn, in a melancholy and moving "My Favorite Things" Skyler Johnson, bass trombone, in a brand new cocktail hour arrangement of "I'll Be Home For Christmas" William Berry and James Smock, trumpets, in a haunting old American tune, "Jesus Christ the Apple Tree"
And a whole evening of the most beautiful, celebratory, and quirky Clarionized renditions of your holiday favorites to put you in a Christmas mood.
