Cardio Fitness Workout and Nutrition Tips

SWEAT FOR A WORTHY CAUSE! One hour of exercise converts directly into needed dollars for student scholarships!

By attending or donating to the CardioFitness and Nutrition Tips Fundraiser, led by certified personal trainer Dietrich Horsey, of D21 Fit Studio, you will be helping fund the college dreams of talented Latino students who depend on these scholarships.

The TBLC (Transitional Bilingual Learning Community) at Truman College, City Colleges of Chicago, established in 2002, has served over 400 students, by accelerating their academic English proficiency and jump-starting their college careers in a first-year college cohort model.

The TBLC boasts a near 90% persistence rate each year, and most of the TBLC students have earned or are on the direct path to earning an Associates degree and/or transferring to 4-year colleges and universities in pursuit of a bachelors degree and beyond.

The TBLC has won numerous awards and has been cited by the Illinois Community College Board, Kellogg Foundation, Lumina Foundation for Education, and others, as an exemplary model.

These talented, motivated students do not take anything for granted. Your contribution will pay dividends each year they thrive in college!
