A 3-class series on Ancestor veneration and mediumship.

This class is taught in three parts. The first part, taught by John Medellin, will instruct those new to the practices of Ancestral Veneration in how to begin a devotional relationship to their own Ancestors and Beloved Dead. This will provide the student with vocabulary around the practice and simple techniques that can be employed at home, to create safe boundaries and begin communication, regardless of psychic or ritual skill levels.

The second part, taught by Meg Baker Heal, will provide the student with the techniques to build a system aimed at helping spirits of the Dead through healing and elevation. This section is most beneficial for people who might feel overwhelmed by the presence of the dead in their lives. That being said, anyone wanting a deep and ongoing practice with the dead is encouraged to attend.

The final part will be a Q&A discussion moderated by the teachers to help students with their questions about, and experiences of, incorporating these techniques into their own personal spiritual practices.

John Medellin is a spirit worker and Pagan Witch living and working in San Francisco, and is originally from Texas. He has been a devotee of An Morrigan for more than 12 years, and has recently taken oaths to Her. John has spent more than 20 years studying and practicing magic and Earth-based spiritualities, including Conjure work. He is also a former member of Ar nDraiocht Fein. His specialties include divination, protection and warding magics, herb magic, and work with the Dead.

Meg Baker Heal is a born Witch and has followed the winding path all the way to the foot of The Morrígan. She been committed to building pagan community for 20 years. A psychic medium who works with ancestors and descendants, she is a founding member of the Coru. Passionate about social justice, Meg graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a bachelors in community studies and anthropology. Born and raised in Northern California, she traveled the world and now has come back to the north valley to raise her two children and save the world. She loves good food, trees and riding her bicycle thousands of miles.
