Sreepadmam School of Dance proudly presents 'Krishnakadhamrudam' - An evening of exquisite Mohiniyattam performances led by Guru Padma Shri Kalamandalam Kshemavathi.

Acclaimed Mohiniyattam artists in the Bay Area will perform in this event along with Guru Kshemavathi to present the stories of Krishna through this graceful art form. An evening full of Laasya and Abhinaya that is sure to mesmerize the audience!

About the Teacher (Guru)
Guru Kshemavathy on completing her course from Kerala Kalamandalam, started her own dance academy Kerala Kalamandiram in 1965, which recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary in August, 2017. She has enthralled audiences with her performances and workshops at countless international and national venues. As a recognition to her distinguished contributions to the field of Mohiniyattam, the Govt. of India honored her with Padma Shri award (2011) which is India's 4th highest civilian award. Kshemavathi approaches dance with the same passion and vigor with which she kicked off her journey. With her maiden US tour she hopes to inspire young aspirants and artists through workshop and performances. Kshemavathi is also a much-respected guru who has been training students and established artists from around the world for over 55 years.
