Chick in Crisis - 20 Year Anniversary Celebration
Please join us for a beautiful evening under the stars in our healing garden, as we celebrate 20 years of community service in the greater Sacramento area. At this special event, guests will be able to mix & mingle and enjoy delicious hor doeuvres.
CiC started in the garage of our founder, Inez Whitlow, in 1997. Inez set out to decrease the number of babies entering the foster care system and even being abandoned by helping pregnant teens and women obtain medical care, housing, counseling, and other resources needed to make responsible choices.
With gently used clothes, a truck, and a passion for making a difference, Inez was the first "street team" in Sacramento that went to the people. She often housed homeless pregnant women in her own home, giving up her own bed.
