Ballroom Thieves - Chattanooga Secret Show - Invite Only
Ballroom Thieves return to Chattanooga for their 3rd visit and our last show of 2017! The Boston, indie-folk trio first performed here for Nightfall 2016 and came back to play a more intimate set last September--our very first (tree) house show at Treetop Hideaways.
...In the year since that first sold-out show in the woods: Ballroom Thieves have released their sophomore album; won not one, but three(!) Boston Music Awards; and already working on incredible new tunes.
If this is your first time hearing of them and wondering, what does a "rock band in folk suit" sound like? Well... They are a harmony-rich three piece--guitar, drums, cello--inspired and influenced by artists like: The Lone Bellow, Josh Ritter, The Avett Brothers, The Tallest Man On Earth, Dawes, Shakey Graves, Bon Iver, and Joseph, to name a few. If you enjoy any of those, or groups like The Head & the Heart and The Lumineers, you are in for a treat.
Martin Earley, Devin Mauch, and Calin Peters are a dreamy mix of "meticulous harmonies and songwriting rooted in the passion and turmoil that surrounds the road of life, crafting a hymn-like framework" (The Fairfield Mirror).

MORE ABOUT CHATTANOOGA HOUSE SHOWS
A few things to know if you haven't been to one of our house/secret concerts before.
We find talented, professional musicians who are touring across the country. We look for artists who have something special; are selling out venues in major cities and winning music awards; have performed on internationally recognized series like NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, Audiotree Live, or Paste Magazine. For many of them, this is their first or second time in Chattanooga or have only passed through between bigger cities.
Lucky for us, that means we get to see them in an intimate setting and you can be a part of putting our town on the map for hosting/supporting emerging, independent artists.
The audience (you!) is just as important to making these shows special. We want a full room of friends, and friends of friends, who enjoy discovering new music, meeting new people, and want to see independent artists thrive. If you're a local musician, we'd also love for you to come and meet fellow artists in other areas so we can create more bridges for our local talent.
Note, these shows are NOT promoted publicly. Please be thoughtful with who you invite.
IMPORTANT
Performances are a listening experience. We trust you'll be respectful of the artists, hosts, their home/space, and the neighbors as you come and go. You are also responsible for yourself and your own safety before, at the show, and getting home.
This is a labor of love to bring friends together and enjoy live music. We appreciate your help in making it as easy as possible for everyone involved putting it on and an awesome experience all around. If necessary, anyone jeopardizing that experience may be asked to leave and/or not receive future invitations.
