You have been invited to the Sultana's annual Spring Celebration! Journey to the mysterious Middle-East as a guest of the Sultana, and spend the night celebrating with your friends in her sumptuous palace. Join us for a magical evening at the Homeschool Spring Gala and celebrate the end of another school year.
The theme of the tenth Homeschool Gala is based on the collection of Middle-Eastern folk tales known as One Thousand and One Arabian Nights
As you enter the elegant Great Room at Historic Savage Mill, you will be transported to the ballroom of the Sultana's palace, and entertained by our professional DJ. You will have unlimited access to a photo booth where you and your friends can try on zany props, snap group photos and get them printed all night long. When you are ready to take a break from the celebration, head out to the Sultana's tent where board games and playing cards will be available for your amusement. The palace jinni may even conjure up a surprise or two during the festivities.
Buffets of teen-friendly food and drinks will be served by our caterer, Putting On the Ritz. In addition, our professional Gala photographer will take your candid and posed shots. These will be made available to all attendees after the dance. You will be able to download your favorite pictures free of charge.
A special tribute will be made to all our seniors.
Dressy clothes are the norm, but tuxedos and floor-length gowns are totally optional. Most guys sport a jacket and tie and the girls choose a variety of dress lengths. This is not an event that you need a date for, either! Guests mix and mingle with their friends and make new ones. Seating is not pre-assigned so everyone is free to move around throughout the evening.
The Gala will be held on June 1, 2018. It is for homeschoolers and their guests ages 13 and up. Time is 8:00 pm to midnight.
LAST DAY for ticket sales is May 18, 2018 or until sold out - whichever comes first. Only 150 teen tickets are available.
