Managing Your Noxious Weeds
Got noxious weeds? Want to control them before they completely take over? Come build a toolbox of strategies and techniques that will help you reclaim your land over a couple years and restore your ground in the process. Topics will include proper weed identification and growth habit; control methods including use of insects (biocontrols) to control certain weeds and the selection and use of the most effective, least harmful herbicides; pasture restoration techniques including soil preparation, seed mix selection and planting; and long term management techniques to insure the weeds dont come back.
The work shop will be taught by representatives of the Spokane County Noxious Weed Control Board, WSU Spokane County Extension and community experts.
Washington State pesticide re-certification credits will be available.
