Critical Thinking Boot Camp for Kids Fall 2017 (Academic Center Prep) 5th/6th
The Critical Thinking Boot Camp for Kids is an unique academic enrichment program developed by author and award-winning educator, Lemi-Ola Erinkitola. The program builds confidence and cognitive skills with fun challenging activities in critical thinking, spatial reasoning and abstract questioning. For over 10 years these innovative academic bootcamp sessions continue to yield high achieving results for students and offer extraordinary benefits to bright kids seeking entrance to accelerated Regional Gifted Center programs including CPS' competitive Academic Center Program such as Whitney Young, Lane Tech, Lindblom, Kenwood, Brooks, Taft and Morgan Park.
Who should enroll? This course is ideal for 5th/6th graders:
1) Students preparing to take the CPS' Academic Center Admission tests.
2) Students preparing to take the CPS' SEES Gifted Admission tests.
3) Enrichment - Students highly curious, or easily bored, seeking above-grade level challenges and fun learning opportunities.
We use a series of research-based brain development exercises, customized abstract puzzles and fun cognitive game activities to improve test scores, listening skills, confidence and abilities in: Analogies, figural patterns, classification, Sequencing, pattern matrix, Spatial Thinking, oral vocabulary, reading comprehension and math reasoning
Classes are from 3:30pm to 5:30pm held for 2 hours on Sundays in Chicago's South Loop for 6-week, 12 hr session held on:

The registration fee covers:
