Josiah Johnson (of The Head & the Heart) & Planes on Paper - Invite Only - Chattanooga Secret Show
This is going to be a good one!
"Southern California native, current resident of the Bay Area, former Seattleite, one-time Torontonian and long-time tour bus resident Josiah Johnsons immersion in the musical culture of so many locales as well as his dedication to constant touring has given him the means to share his music far and wide. The strength of his songwriting has carried his music far beyond even his physical reach. Best known as a member of American indie-folkers The Head and The Heart, Johnsons solo performances highlight a stripped down, emotive, lyrics-first kind of songcraft, inimitable in its sincerity and beauty.
Even as a one-year-old project, Planes on Paper was already receiving high praise from a nearly endless list of media outlets across the country: the Seattle Times, American Songwriter Magazine, KEXP Seattle, WNYU New York, The Revue, Ear To The Ground and The Stranger.
Now, nearly three years into the bands journey, the praise continues, and the songwriting duo is drawing crowds on both coasts of the U.S. as well as playing some of the most noteworthy festivals all without yet releasing an album."

MORE ABOUT CHATTANOOGA HOUSE SHOWS
A few things to know if you haven't been to one of our house/secret concerts before.
We find talented, professional musicians who are touring across the country. We look for artists who have something special. They may be selling out 1000+ person venues elsewhere and winning music awards, or performed on internationally recognized series like NPR Tiny Desk Concerts, Audiotree Live, or Paste Magazine. For many of them, this is their first or second time in Chattanooga or have only passed through between bigger cities.
Lucky for us, that means we get to see them in an intimate setting and you can be a part of putting our town on the map for hosting/supporting emerging, independent artists.
The audience (aka you!) is just as important to making these shows special. We want a full room of friends, and friends of friends, who enjoy discovering new music, meeting new people, and want to see independent artists thrive. If you're a local musician, we'd also love for you to come and meet fellow artists in other areas so we can create more bridges for our local talent.
Note, these shows are NOT promoted publicly. Please be thoughtful with who you invite.
IMPORTANT
Performances are a listening experience. Please be respectful of the artists, hosts, their home/space, and the neighbors as you come and go. You are also responsible for yourself and your own safety before, at the show, and getting home.
This is a labor of love and appreciate your help in making it as easy on the hosts, artists, and community as possible. You've received an invite because one of us or a friend believes you'll be a part of making this an awesome experience for everyone. If necessary (hopefully it won't be!), anyone jeopardizing that experience may be asked to leave and/or not receive future invitations.
