Jumptown Big Band presents a Stan Kenton Tribute Party

Jumptown Big Band presents a swinging tribute to the timeless music of the legendary Stan Kenton with a big band dance party and concert. The band is expanding its normal size for this event to include 10 brass players to mimic the Stan Kenton orchestra. We will be performing a variety of danceable swing arrangements and ballads along with a few instrumental concert features. Claudia Knauer will be our featured vocalist performing a few tunes sung by June Christy and Anita O'Day both of which where vocalists with the Stan Kenton orchestra.

This event will be held in the beautifully renovated auditorium at the Multnomah Arts Center at 7688 SW Capitol Hwy, Portland, OR 97219 in the heart of Multnomah Village on Saturday October 14th 7:30pm to 9:30pm. This venue has a large dance floor and plenty of seating. Light refreshments will be served. Tickets are $15 at the door or may be purchased in advance at a discount through BrownPaperTickets.
