Local Sightings Opening Night - Filmmaker RSVP
To open the twentieth edition of Local Sightings, our fine film community will divulge formative foibles in a lively talk show. Combining juicy storytelling, set gossip of yesteryear, cringe-inducing memories, and corresponding film excerpts, Early Mistakes - Live! will offer the audience an unvarnished glimpse into the filmmaking process. Filmmakers will tell the firsthand tales of the sometimes painful, frequently comical and nearly always illuminative experiences of the inevitable mess ups along the way to making masterpieces. Featuring Jennifer Roth, SJ Chiro, Megan Griffiths, and many more. Come for the tales of face palm fiascos, stay for the legendarily wild after party. Costume theme: the film that made you fall in love with film. This event will be filmed for the Criterion Channel.
