Michael Feinberg Quartet featuring Billy Buss

Based out of New York City, and a favorite of Kuumbwas Club Kuumbwa series, bassist Feinberg has become a renowned bandleader and in-demand sideman, having shared the stage with Billy Hart, Ambrose Akinmusire, George Garzone, Peter Bernstein and others. Apart from his work as a performer, Feinbergs compositions have appeared on both NPR and ESPN. Feinberg will be joined in his Quartet by Berkeley native Billy Buss on trumpet. Buss has been making waves through his performances with Herbie Hancock, Deltron 3030 and was a finalist in the prestigious Thelonious Monk Competition. Both Feinberg and Buss will be premiering new music from their forthcoming albums.
