35th Vivaldi by Candlelight: A benefit Concert
Join UCCD Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the historic First Presbyterian Church for our annual Vivaldi by Candlelight benefit concert starting at 8:00 pm.
Join UCCD for Brescianello, Castrucci, Stradella, and Bach - not exotic gelato flavors. Theses are the names of Baroque composers and violin virtuosos who, through their dazzling music, demonstrates why the Baroque was a golden age of string ensemble playing.
The Vivaldi Virtuosi with Music Director Gerald Elias will perform compositions from these composers during this year's Vivaldi by Candlelight event, appropriately titled A Baroque Kaleidoscope.
Music diplomacy is a universal language essential for community building, improving intercultural dialogue and human development, and a tool to better understand cultures, beliefs, and interests as we take steps to improve international relations.
Vivaldi by Candlelight is a signature fundraising event of the Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy and directly supports our programs and mission. A portion of your ticket price is tax deductible.
