The group dynamic is at the core of the Dave King Trucking Company and Relix Magazine has dubbed the ensemble a winning mix of musical personalities Led by drummer/composer King, known to many for his work in the beloved idiosyncratic trio The Bad Plus, the Trucking Company has band member roots in both New York City and Minnesota. Their latest album, Surrounded By The Night, showcases a group hitting its stride and fueled by Kings propulsive drum work. Featuring bassist Chris Morrissey, saxophonists Chris Speed and Brandon Wozniak, and guitarist Erik Fratzke, the Dave King Trucking Company provides all the power and momentum of the big-rig vehicle its name calls to mind.
