Raul Midón solo
Raul Midón has been astounding audiences since the release of his debut album in 1999. Hard to categorize, his ninth and current album, Bad Ass and Blind, could be an apt description for Midón himself. Blind since birth, the New Mexico native is a most distinctive individual whose talent for guitar playing, songwriting and singing is, indeed, bad ass. Midón has no use for musical barriers. Whether playing an imaginative cover of a Stevie Wonder or Steve Miller song, or one of his original compositions, Raul puts everything he has into his performances. Melodic lines, surging grooves, he makes it all look easy. A featured performer with the 2016 Monterey Jazz Festival On Tour, Midón often 'stole the show' with his soulfully rendered songs
