Come be nourished in wonderful an evening of mantra, chant, groove, community and devotion with long term chanters/Indian classical musicians Gina Sala and Daniel Paul at Bhakti Yoga Shala in Santa Monica. ABOUT GINA SALA: Gina Sala is a vocalist, composer, teacher and chant leader with a repertoire spanning 23 languages . Her performance credits include the U.N., Cirque du Soleil and international festivals. She spent her early childhood years chanting in Swami Sivananda Radhas ashram. She deepened her practices living in the Himalayas at Buddhist monastery in Nepal (Kopan), with H.W.L. Poonjaji ("Papaji") and through ongoing study with her esteemed sanskrit, sound tantra, and Indian classical voice teachers in India. With warmth, humor and devotion, she offers international retreats in sound wellness, sanskrit mantra, voice empowerment, dhrupad raga and chant in her annual River of Sound tour in India, workshops and a year-long Awakening Voice ™ sound school. Her passion is helping us singing ourselves awake to Who we are.

ABOUT DANIEL PAUL: Daniel Paul, Fulbright tabla drum virtuoso, has been a mainstay of the kirtan touring circuit for 2 decades touring the world primarily with Grammy nominee Jai Uttal and Gina. His training draws on 9 years of study at the Ali Akbar college of music (Tal Vadya Degree) and life-long immersion into the folk music traditions of the temples and villages throughout India. He teaches tabla and rhythm on other instruments and co-leads the annual Chant and Drum retreat with Gina Sala in Hawaii. www.tabladaniel.com
