Creative Dyeing- Intro to Alcohol Inks

This playful class will introduce alcohol inks and markers in an intuitive and relaxing way. Guest artist Daylene Moss will guide students in special techniques on how these highly fluid, transparent, dye-based medium inks can work together to create pictures that have the look of brilliant stained glass. We will discuss color theory, principles and elements of design, as well as composition tips while exploring with these fascinating dyes. This class focuses on the use of Yupo paper and students will create samples that can be used as greeting cards, bookmarks, framed art. Students will also have the opportunity to use the inks on substrates such as switchplate covers, candle holders and more.
