Venture House is a community based non-profit mental health agency dedicated to the wellness and recovery of people living with a serious mental illness. Venture House follows the Clubhouse model of psychiatric rehabilitation and has been providing services out of our Jamaica, Queens location for 30 years, and just recently expanded to Staten Island. A community of mutual support, Venture House isdedicated to providing a range of high quality services to afford people with the opportunity to live and work successfully in the community, independently and with dignity. Members and staff work side-by-side to run the organization. To date, Venture House has provided services to over 1,100 members. There are over 300 active members, ages 18 and up. Members are involved in all aspects of our business, from mopping floors to hiring staff, making policy decisions and membership on the Board of Directors. Through engagement and work, Venture House is strongly committed to member empowerment and combating the stigma of mental illness.

We meet 6:45pm for 7:00pm at Playwright Tavern, 202 West 49th Street, 3rd Floor (between Broadway and 7th Ave).
