Invasion of the Booty Shakers with Planet Booty and Elettrodomestico
It's the Invasion of the Booty Shakers over Labor Day Weekend, and North Bay Events is giving you two great reasons to take a road trip to Guerneville! Planet Booty, a Bay Area favorite dance band invites you to dance to their eclectic electro-funk and RnB grooves, and Elettrodomestico, an elettro/psychedelic/pop band formed by Jane Weidlin, formerly of The Go-Go's and Italian hottie, Pietro Straccia is guaranteed to have your fingers snappin' and your booty shakin'! Infamous drag queen and tawdry mistress of ceremonies is Wilma Titzgro, Midwestern Iowa native, and Native Queen of Middle Fingers. Partial proceeds from the event and all of the proceeds from the upstairs wine bar will go to Dogma Animal Rescue's medical fund, and there will be puppies at a dog adoption event early in the evening. Elettrodomestico is a 2 piece elettro/psychedelic/pop band made up of songwriters Jane Wiedlin and Pietro Straccia. Formed in 2016, the band will release their first album, IF YOURE A BOY OR A GIRL, in the fall of 2017. Jane Wiedlin is best known as guitarist/songwriter of the eighties all-female band The Go-Go's. Pietro Straccia is a multi-instrumentalist/songwriter who grew up in Detroit and Italy (epiqe, is4i, apside.
Their elettro/psychedelic/pop sound has been compared to bands Metric, The Mamas & The Papas, Abba, Garbage, The Flaming Lips, The XX, Phantogram.
Planet Booty invites you to dance to their eclectic electro-funk, grind to their original RnB grooves, and sweat under the intense, penetrating gaze of frontman Dylan Charles Germick as he begs you, in all sincerity, to love yourself no matter what.
Conceived in Oakland, CA by two Indiana brothers, Planet Booty first emerged along the west coast as a 6-to-10-piece funk and soul dance party powerhouse with a reputation for limit-pushing and theatrics. But it was their later incarnation as a multitasking three-piece (Dylan Germick on vocals and trumpet, Josh Cantero on vocals and keys, Rob Gwin on bass and percussion) that caught the attention of national and festival circuits, with a more intimate connection and yet an even more powerful experience.
Planet Bootys fourth album, NAKED, is being released this summer with a north coast tour in August 2017.

Booty-shakers will invade Jerry Knight's Historic River Theater on September 2nd, 2017. Doors open at 8:00pm. The River Theater, well-known for it's glorious size and fabulous sound system, is located at 16135 Main Street in Guerneville.
Advance general admission tickets are available through Brown Paper Tickets for $20. Admission at the door will be $25.
