Diagnostics for Seasoned Improvisers
Taught by Stephanie Anderson and Alex Bellisle of GirlISH Chicago
Saturday, August 12th 3:00pm - 6:00pm (3 hours)

Where: Downstairs studio at 104 Russell St (Rt. 9) in Hadley
PREREQUISITES (Advanced workshop): Completion of Zen of Improv 4 or the equivalent at another improv comedy school.

This workshop is for the seasoned improviser who would like to take their skill to the next level. Using Long and Short Form exercises- experienced improvisational actors will learn new techniques to spice up their performance and reignite their sense of play. We will identify old habits and redefine the rules that have led to performance plateaus. Workshop participants will receive notes on strengths and individual feedback to improve specific performance challenges.

About your teachers: Stephanie Anderson and Alex Bellisle make up the Chicago-based improv comedy duo GIRLish. Stephanie and Alex have been performing together since 2012 at Second City, iO Theater, and around the country. They are improvisers, writing partners, and friends. They have written and performed original sketch at the NYC International Fringe Festival. As an improv duo, they weave grounded characters with a little bit of absurdity and a lot of fun!

Must be 21+ to attend a workshop at Happier Valley Comedy.
