Three of the brightest stars in the Boston singer-songwriter constellation share a night at the Lizard Lounge. Dietrich Strause's status as a local favorite derives from his imaginative story-songs, replete with pastoral lyricism and delivered in a manner free of affectation. Brian Webb creates his dark Americana sound with classic-rock-styled amps he builds himself and layers on evocative, almost spiritual lyrics. Kimon Kirk, former bass player for Aimee Mann and producer extraordinaire, combines LA pop sensibilities with Boston wit and demonstrates a creative prowess all his own. All three bring full bands and promise to deliver tightly-written, artfully-delivered original songs.
