On Sunday, September 24, 2017, Arts + Literature Laboratory presents drummer extraordinaire Andrew Cyrille, whose long history in cutting-edge jazz dates back over half a century to when he started working with Cecil Taylor. Cyrille recently released two CDs - a quartet recording calledThe Declaration of Musical Independence,and a duo CD with saxophonist Bill McHenry calledProximity. McHenry joins him for this performance. Advance purchase recommended for this rare opportunity to hear the legendary Andrew Cyrille with Bill McHenry in this intimate setting.
