Rémi Brannón and Elizabeth Anderson
Rémi BRANNÓN guitar and vocals
Rémi grew up traveling back and forth between Ireland and Brittany where he was often surrounded with a diversity of talented musicians from Scotland, Ireland, Brittany, or America. He was introduced to folk and traditional music at a very early age by his family in Ireland who shared a keen interest in artists such as Christy Moore, Andy Irvine, Planxty, The Bothy Band, and more. His main influences on the guitar are Dáithí Sproule (Altan), Arty McGlynn (Bothy Band) and John Doyle (Solas). During his six-year stay in the USA, he co-founded the band Gallica and collaborated with some of the most talented musicians in the Saint Louis area. Along the way, Rémi had the chance to meet and perform with some of the greatest musicians on the trad scene such as Paddy Keenan (Bothy Band), Conor Lamb and Deirdre Galway (Réalta) or Tom Delany & Caroline Keane (FourWinds) with whom he shared the stage.
Rémi currently lives in Brittany (France), where he worked closely with the big Irish dance production Avalon Celtic Dances and different other line-ups such as Trad 4 Reel and the duet In Trad We Trust . According to the Breton Celtival Reviews Through stories and songs, Rémi Brannón makes the audience travel from the green hills of Ireland to the Scottish glens, and from the Breton coastline to the other side of the ocean through American folk songs. His performance combines nostalgia, humour and energy and gives a moving approach of the different Celtic traditions. Rémi is also the founder, president, and program director of the School of Irish Arts of Nantes (SIAN) in Brittany, where he teaches and shares his passion for traditional Irish music and songs.
Elizabeth ANDERSON Fiddle
Elizabeth Anderson has won acclaim from audiences around the U.S. and Europe for her vibrant, expressive fiddle playing and daring duo arrangements. Brought up in the Boston Scottish and Cape Breton fiddle scene, Elizabeth has taken her exuberant interpretation of the Scottish style on tour throughout New England, to Washington, DC, and as far abroad as Scotland and France. She performs regularly with her Scottish fiddle/cello duo, Elizabeth and Ben Anderson, an act that has taken the influence of people like Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas and really made their own mark on traditional music, according to WGBH Public Radios Brian ODonovan. Elizabeth holds a degree in Music Education from Berklee College of Music in Boston. She is the 2016 Perth All-Scotland Fiddle Champion and has won numerous awards at the New England Regional and U.S. National Scottish fiddle competitions. Elizabeth is also in high demand as a private fiddle teacher and classroom music educator, and is a regular staff member at Maine Fiddle Camp and Pinewoods Camp.

Elizabeth and Rémi met in France in 2016 as Elizabeth was invited through the School of Irish Arts of Nantes to teach a fiddle workshop in her own dynamic and resonant style. Rémis Irish and Breton main influences combined with Elizabeths Scottish, Cape Breton and American fiddle skills match to create a sensitive yet passionate harmony. Here they meet again in Elizabeths own country to provide a new growing musical experience to the American audience.
