CLASS DESCRIPTION:
Open to all levels including true beginners to yoga, this Dharma-inspired class is structured around a simple set sequence of postures designed by Sri Dharma Mittra over his 50 years of dedicated practice. The combination of breathwork (pranayama) and static poses (asanas) allows students to re-align and center their bodies, minds and spirits in a supportive environment. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
This class is taught by a former hip-hop dancer and current entrepreneur, Simone Jacobson, who discovered yoga after a traumatic injury and found it helped her healing process. Simone hopes to cultivate a space where everyone feels empowered to breathe freely, finding gentle relief from their daily rigors while building strength, flexibility, receptivity, and awareness. Simone recently did her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Yoga District. This free, community offering is part of her final certification process.
