Red Deer - Trauma Informed Learning Series: Day 1
The Trauma Informed Learning Series will support practitioners in identifying the impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES), the signs and symptoms of trauma, how to implement trauma informed practices (TIC) in their work and how to support TIC at the organizational level with reflective coaching and mentoring. The three part series can be taken individually or woven together for implementation. This is the general overview for DAY ONE.
DAY ONE: Adverse Childhood Experiences: The Impact of Trauma - The neuro-sequential development of the brain - scaffolded learning - What are ACEs and how do they impact brain development in the early years - Linking the past and the present - How ACEs show up in adulthood - Identifying the trauma response: Learning how to recognize trauma - Strategies to work with individuals who have experienced ACEs or trauma.
Line Marie Perron, B.A., M.Sc., C.W.T. is a certified Community and Workplace Traumatologist with over 30 years of facilitation and training experience. She holds a degree in Psychology and a Masters of Science in Family Ecology and Practice from the University of Alberta. She also has an Indigenous Early Childhood Leadership and Management certificate from the University of Victoria.
Line Marie is the founder of Early Childhood Development Support Services as well as A New Dynamic Enterprise. She was also the Provincial Community Development and Mobilization Manager for the Early Childhood Development Mapping Project and has worked across the province building capacity for professionals in relationship based practice.
