About the Show:
The theme Drum Tapestry: Flow and connection woven from beats around the world will be interwoven through the concert songs representing countries and cultures around the world. Inspired by music from the continents of Africa, South America, Asia, and North America, drummers and audience will explore a vibrant percussion tapestry.
The concert will feature drumHeart, the main performing ensemble for the Womens Drum Center and participants from a variety of classes at the Center. Special guests include Taikollaborative, Rhythm of the Saints bucket and bottle group, and African style dancer. These groups will add their talents to the diverse beats that range from Japanese-African blends to American Hip Hop.

The Womens Drum Center is proud to showcase a rich tapestry of rhythms and cultures, featuring compositions and arrangements by women. Much as a tapestry is woven from varied colors and threads to form an intricate and complex design, Womens Drum Center participants from many age groups and walks of life form the textured fabric of our Center.
