Tied Red Thread

Tied Red Thread follows the tradition of oral storytelling, unfolding popular stories in front of the audience for the first time. Timeless stories, such as the Dead Brothers Poem, where a loyal brother keeps his oath and comes out of the grave to lead his only sister back to their fatally ill mother, or like the folk song The Bridge of Arta, where the bridge maker has to sacrifice his wife and bury her alive in the foundations in order to break the curse and make the bridge invulnerable. The traditional poem My dear, old grandma reveals how an old grandmother evades death. There are also three folk tales that are staged for the first time. The first is the Greek version of the well-known fairy tale Snow White, but with a vicious twist. The second is called The Eye, where the scholars of a village are gathered to explain to the king why an eye outweighs all the fortunes of the palace. Finally, the third is a fairy tale about the fox and the wolf and their unfortunate team up.
