Launch Movement Experiment & Billy Schultz
Andy Dickerson and Rachel Mckinstry have devised the "pause, flow, and exit" of their first collaborative work, arrangement. The piece creates a spontaneous, valid composition that displays the element of choice. It explores improvisation not as the antithesis of composition, but as the place where compositions become compositions. arrangement allows for a viewing and an executing of real-time decision making and a witnessing of the actions of emotional human beings. The participants will move, see, hear, and feel, volunteering to expose the layers of self in order to alter and challenge perceptions, create new neuron connections, and to discover unique thoughts. arrangement ultimately aims to encourage the idea of "awakeness" for both viewer and performer. Moves by Rachel Mckinstry. Lights by Andy Dickerson. Sound by Fade Kainer. For more info: arrangement-launchmovementexperiment.com

Billy Schultz's "Behind the Curtain," is the story of a straitlaced and orderly janitor who arrives to work only to find that the theater he calls home has been slated for demolition.  Through a series of fantastical reckonings and re-imagined memories, he attempts to reconcile himself to a life without the expression of the actors, the applause of the audience, and the stories of the stage.  Tonight he will lock the doors one final time.  What remains inside when everything outside disappears? Story by Billy Schultz. Music by Rima Fand. Special Thanks to Audrey Crabtree, Carlo D'amore, and Jeff Wirth. http://billyschultz.blogspot.com
