PROUD NIGGA TO SOLDIER
Foster was an average lower-middle class young man with upper middle class ambitions, but things immediately change when he learns he is to be drafted in the Vietnam war. Non-political and non-violent Foster serves his country only to return home to discover that his mother is dead and his father has turned to alcoholism after years of stress. As his sister Lillian insist he stays in the family house until he is on his feet, it is not long before Foster discovers that his younger teenage brother Adrian associates with the local Black militants. The inevitable conversation between a black militant (Proud Nigga) and black patriot (Soldier) tests the strength of a family's ability to unify in the midst of a distorted reality.
