As Pants the Hart Immaculate Conception March 2017
Schola concert: As Pants the Hart.
Featuring Bach's poignant aria from Cantata 42, rarely performed chromatic harmonies by Lassus and Gesualdo and a radiant five part setting of the famous 'Ave Maria' by Palestrina. The second half of the concert features Handel's Chandos Anthem Number 6, 'As pants the hart.' The anthem features a vigorous opening sinfonia and heartfelt arias and duets.
Pre-concert talk at 7:00 PM.
Concert will be performed in Falmouth and twice in Portland at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the Cathedral of Saint Luke.
Please plan on arriving early for best seating options.
Ticket sales will end 12 hours prior to concert start time. After that, tickets will be available at the door.
