All proceeds benefit Yellow Barn's tuition-free summer program
for young professional musicians, and the naming of a
rehearsal and practice studio in honor of Marvin Knopp.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHIES

Seth Knopp, piano (Baltimore, MD), is Artistic Director of Yellow Barn and the founder and Co-Artistic Director of its Young Artist Program. He serves as Artistic Director of the Soundings: New Music at the Nasher, a concert series at the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, Texas. He is a founding member of the Naumburg Award-winning Peabody Trio, Ensemble-in-Residence at the Peabody Institute of The Johns Hopkins University where he serves as a member of the piano and chamber music faculties. As a member of the Knopp-Melançon Duo, he was a winner of the USIA Artistic Ambassador Competition, which resulted in tours throughout Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, and Japan. Seth has recorded on the CRI, Analekta, New World Records, and Artek labels. Yellow Barn musician (19982011)

William Sharp, baritone (Baltimore, MD), has appeared throughout the United States with major orchestras and festivals. He is a frequent participant in Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival and with the Handel and Haydn Society, among many others. He has received multiple Grammy Award nominations and is a Grammy Award winner, and has an extensive discography and many accolades. He serves on the faculty at the Peabody Institute. ABOUT YELLOW BARN

Founded in 1969 by David and Janet Wells, Yellow Barn is a center for chamber music study and performance in Putney, Vermont, internationally recognized for its distinguished history and innovative approach to lifelong learning. Through its annual summer programs and its ongoing series of Artists Residencies and Workshops, each year Yellow Barn welcomes over 100 musicians from all over the world to Vermont and reaches more than 4,000 audience members from the local community and across the nation.
