Charles Brooks is a professional four-mallet jazz vibraphonist and percussionist in Baton Rouge. His group The Charles Brooks Collective is an experimental jazz group with roots grounded in fusion and electric jazz as influenced by musical greats like Herbie Hancock, Miles Davis, The Weather Report, Jimi Hendrix, and Pat Methany. The Collective's modern improvisatory techniques combine with traditional jazz harmonies, and melodies fuse with modern rhythmic application as influenced by world music.
