Golden Years. A Tribute to David Bowie
Michael T presents his annual Bowie/Elvis Double Birthday Celebration at The Delancey Lounge.
For the past 7 years the Bowie-Elvis tribute has been a staple of NYC. This year is somewhat bittersweet as it's the first year of Bowie's passing on what would've been his 70th Birthday.
That stated, this event is not to mourn but to celebrate the music of these two great artists.
The Hound Dogs perform an Elvis set @ 8pm
Michael T and The Vanities perform 3 Bowie sets from 3 distinctive periods from his musical career. Berlin Bowie [;;75-80];; 80's Bowie [;;8187];; and Glam Bowie [;;71-74];; 9pm, 10pm and 11pm. Guest singers appear in each set.
In addition to the live performances, an all bowie dance party takes place in upstairs + screenings of rare videos etc. Downstairs, dj's play elvis and rockabilly
