Bursting with the rambunctious energy of the original MGM film, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" is all boisterous fun and romance, that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical. Set in Oregon in 1850, "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" tells the story of Millie, a young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness. Her plan to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law to ensure the success of her own marriage backfires when the brothers, in their enthusiasm, kidnap six women from a neighboring town to be their brides.
Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (55 and up) and students (with a valid i.d.) and $8 for children 12 and under. Tickets are available online at www.thesauk.org. The box office at the theatre will open for in-person and phone sales on Wednesday, June 7.
This Sauk production is directed by Trinity Bird with musical direction by Kristi Gautsche and choreography by Elizabeth McNair. The production is sponsored by Jonesville Lumber and The Udder Side. The 2017 Sauk season is made possible by Expressions Photography & Design.
