pantomime
A theatrical entertainment, mainly for children, that involves music, topical jokes, and slapstick comedy and is based on a fairy tale or nursery story, usually produced around Christmas.
Things are hard in Lower Hoveltown. So hard that there isn't enough Sawdust Ala King to go around. Step Mother has a plan that doesn't isn't really in the kids' best interests. Hansel & Gretel's troubles go from bad to worse in this funny send-up of the traditional story.
Performed in the pantomime style (not quiet, in fact quite the opposite) there are songs and audience participation in this show for young and old(er).
