The Sunshine Boys
Red Curtain Productions presents a community theatre presentation of Neil Simon's "The Sunshine Boys" September 21-October 7, 2012, at the Historic Everett Theatre.
Lewis and Clark, known as The Sunshine Boys, had the top vaudeville and comedy act for more than 40 years, until Al Lewis decided he was going to retire from show business. Willie Clark hasn't spoken to his former partner in more than 10 years, but now they have a chance to be part of a televised special honoring the legends of comedy.
Even though their awkward first meeting doesn't go well, the two aging performers decide to go ahead with the one-time show. Delivering a hilarious classic comedy sketch, Lewis and Clark prove that they are still an unbeatable team onstage.
"The Sunshine Boys" was written by the legendary Neil Simon, and features Simon's trademark banter, zingy one-liners, and lots of heart.
The cast features local community theatre favorites, and the show is directed by Scott B. Randall.
