The Wee Heavies -- Album Release Concert
Four incredible singers (Jay Harkey, Peter Merideth, Steve Neale, and Aaron Schiltz) make up the Wee Heavies. Theyre an a capella quartet dedicated to music in the Anglo-Celtic tradition. The Heavies sing mainly their own arrangements in an eclectic mix that runs the gamut from the traditional to the modern. Whether singing at major festivals or at more intimate gatherings, their ability to connect with their audiences immediately and in a meaningful way is notable. The rapport of the group brings humor to their shows, and their musical storytelling combined with the fine blend of their voices makes their singing memorable.
AND this is the CD-release party for their new CD produced by the eminent Brian McNeill, one of Scottish folk musics leading lights. This will be a night to remember!
