RED ROOSTER COOKBOOK - Book Signing Reception w/ Chef Marcus Samuelsson
We received an incredible response from our community for the dinner we are co-hosting on October 21st!  The tickets sold out in record time!  In order to offer more people the opportunity to buy the Red Rooster Cookbook and meet Marcus Samuelsson, we are hosting a book signing reception AFTER the dinner from 9-10 pm. The price of admission includes a copy of the cookbook and the opportunity to meet, and get your book signed by, Chef Samuelsson. Light beverages will be available.

Admission is set at the books list price of $37.50 and spots are very limited. You must be present to claim your cookbook.

ABOUT US:

The People's Kitchen Collective works at the intersection of art and activism as a food-centered political education project and cooperative business. Based in Oakland, California, our creative practices reflect the diverse histories and background of collective members Sita Kuratomi Bhaumik, Jocelyn Jackson, and Saqib Keval. Written in our family's recipes are the maps of our migrations and the stories of our resilience. It is from this foundation that we create immersive experiences that celebrate centuries of shared struggle.

When chef Marcus Samuelsson opened Red Rooster on Harlems Lenox Avenue, he envisioned so much more than just a restaurant. He wanted to create a gathering place at the heart of his adopted neighborhood, where both the uptown and downtown sets could see and be seen, mingle and meet  and so he did, in a big way. Ever since the 1930s, Harlem has been a magnet for more than a million African Americans, a melting pot for Spanish, African, and Caribbean immigrants, and a mecca for artists. Named after a historic neighborhood speakeasy, the modern Rooster reflects all of that, from the local art showcased on its walls, to the live music blaring from its performance spaces, to the cross-cultural food on its patrons plates and the evocative cocktails in their hands.

Sponsors for the evening include RED BAY COFFEE and MOUTON NOIR WINES.
