Small Acreage Farm Tour - Conway Family Farm

Tour a local small acreage property in Camas that is home to chickens, goats, and sheep. The farm was recognized as a model property by WSU Clark County Extension in 2006 for practices implemented by the landowners that reduce mud and manage manure to reduce the negative impacts to soil and water quality. Participants will have the opportunity to see rotational grazing, discuss different fencing types, learn about irrigating small pastures, manure composting and management, drainage, and roof runoff.

Come learn about how the landowners achieved recognition as a model property and how best management practices have been implemented to improve their property and protect natural resources, while saving time and money. The landowners will also discuss their experience finding resources in Clark County to assist with the creation of a management plan.

Bring your family & friends and questions you have about your property. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle and wear sturdy boots as we'll be in the field.

The Small Acreage Program, co-sponsored by Washington State University Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services Clean Water Program, will lead the tour with the landowners. The tour begins at 10 am and runs until 12 pm and participants meet at the property in Camas.
