ASCE COPRI Seattle Chapter Monthly Dinner Meeting - Oct 26, 2016
Topic: Seattle Multimodal Terminal at Colman Dock Project
Description: Washington State Ferries is in the final design phase of a project that will rebuild Colman Dock, the state largest and busiest ferry terminal located on the Seattle waterfront. Funded by FTA, FHWA, and the Connecting Washington revenue package, the project addresses the seismic vulnerability of a key regional multimodal hub which serves more than 9 million passengers a year. Taking advantage of the recently passed Heavy-civil GC/CM state legislation, the Agency selected this alternate delivery method as the one best suited to the many complexities of the project, including the need to keep the facility in operation during construction, complex regulatory and technical environments, and a high degree of stakeholder involvement.

Speaker: Genevieve Rucki, PE

As a Program Manager for the Washington State Ferries (WSF), Genevieve Rucki is responsible for the programming, planning, environmental review, design, and construction administration of complex ferry terminal programs. With more than 22 years of experience with WSF, Ms. Rucki has been in charge of the Seattle Multimodal project since its inception in 2009. Holding a dual Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree from France and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering (Structural) from the University of Washington, she is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Washington.
