PCSF's Fall 2012 24-hour Play Festival
The ultimate in deadline-driven, pressure-cooker creative theatre!
WHAT IS A 24 HOUR PLAY FESTIVAL?
The evening before the performance, seven playwrights will be given a theme upon which to write a 10-15 minute long play. The playwrights will have 12 hours to complete their play, at which time, the scripts are turned over to directors and actors, who have about 10 hours to rehearse. A few more hours to work out the sound and lighting cues, and the 24 hours is up! ON WITH THE SHOW!
This is the second 24 hour festival produced by the Playwrights Center of SF. Our inaugural 24 hour festival (last March) was enthusiatically received by a sold out house, so get your tickets early for your chance to see this unique form of collaborative theatrical creativity.
You'll be amazed at what can be accomplished in one short (sleepless) day!
PCSF wants to celebrate YOU, our members, our audience, our playwrights, actors, directors, and crew, all the people who've made it possible for PCSF to continue to provide the services we do to a great community of playwrights and theatre artists. So, STAY AFTER THE SHOW FOR A RECEPTION, FOOD, WINE AND RAFFLE. Raffle prizes include: Tickets to a Berkeley Rep production Tickets to 2Beholden or Not 2B by Susan Jackson at the Southern Railroad Theatre Company Wine from Balletto Winery Dinner made in your home by a professional chef!!
