This story tells of Kris Kringle, a charming elderly gentleman who stumbles into a job as the department store Santa Claus at Macy's in New York City. Kris unleashes waves of good will with the commercial world of New York City when he ignores instructions to steer parents to surplus goods that Macy's is trying to unload. Kris ends up in a court competency hearing to prove to the world that he is in fact Santa Claus.
