Jonathan Kozol is the National Book Award-winning author of Savage Inequalities, Death at an Early Age, The Shame of the Nation, Amazing Grace, Letters to a Young Teacher, Rachel and Her Children, Children of the Revolution, The Night Is Dark, and I Am Far From Home, among others.  He has worked with children in inner-city schools for nearly fifty years. Jonathan will sign his new book, which will be for sale during the event.

Also speaking will be Cathy Campbell (President of Berkeley Federation of Teachers) and Trish Gorham (President of Oakland Education Association).
